News from my studio: The Return of Pumpkin Spice

Goodbye Flip-Flops, Hello Pumpkin Spice!

It’s that time of year again, where the flip-flops that have worn thinner from our summer adventures start their annual journey to the back of the closet and the Uggs and infinity scarves shake off their mothball perfume for another season of service. It’s also time for that perennial favorite (or nemesis?), Pumpkin Spice, to come meandering in to overtake everything from donuts, to coffee, to restroom spray.

Ok, I’ll be the first to admit that I hopped on the Pumpkin Spice bandwagon the first year it came trundling by. It was wonderful to enjoy the scent of spice, leaves, and all things fall wafting through the house on the air thanks to a Yankee Candle burning in the kitchen. But here lately it seems that there isn’t a single product industry that hasn’t capitalized on the pumpkin spice craze. You can’t hardly walk through a store but someone has a freshener plugged in to a wall outlet, or went overboard with the fabric spray in every room.

Well, I’m here to throw open the door and air out the interwebs with some fresh air that ISN’T Pumpkin Spice scented! No, you won’t find a single “pumpkin-spice" related piece of artwork as I release some updated info for you to enjoy. The closest you will find is a new piece I’m currently working on that is a fall leaf-themed mixed media piece!

Instead of gourds and cinnamon, I’ve been working on a couple of different series sets that I think you’re really going to enjoy! I’m working on adding a couple of Limited Edition series sets that I’ll be adding to my Tiny Textures Collection and I know you’re going to love them as much as I do!

Enjoy your weekend and the outdoors…this is a beautiful time for a ride on the Blue Ridge and a picnic at an overlook! I think that’s what we’ll be doing!
